Alessandro Civera
Head of Region
Managing Director of GCI
Alessandro Civera is a manager with more than 20 years of experience in international groups in different industrial sectors, cement, chemicals and chemical fibers. He has a consistent experience abroad and in the management of international teams. Graduated in Industrial Chemistry from University of Torino, he received his MBA from Bocconi University in Milano. After diversified experiences in chemical and chemical fiber sectors, he joined Italcementi Group in 2005, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Italy and abroad. He joined Cementir Group in 2016 as Managing Director and CEO of the Egyptian subsidiary Sinai White Portland Cement Company, leading a successful turnaround bringing the company to compete on European and international markets. Since 2020 he has been appointed Head of the North American Region of Cementir Group.
Cesar Zapata
VP Human Resources
Cesar Zapata is an HR leader with over 19 years management experience. In total he has worked 14 years in manufacturing and 13 years in the military, as a Captain. Graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Psychology, has an MBA from Monterey State University and a Master of Science in Human Resources from Abilene University. As an HR professional, Cesar has worked in both the United States and as an expatriate in Tokyo Japan. Within Human Resources he held positions in Talent Management, Human Resources Development, Labor Relations, Employee Relations and Global Human Resources. He joined Lehigh White Cement in 2021 as the VP of Human Resources.
William Miller
VP Sales and Marketing
Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University William Miller entered the cement industry in Detroit, Michigan as a Sales Representative for St Marys Cement. In 1994 he was promoted to his first Management position and relocated with St Marys (Blue Circle Cement) to Missouri. As a District Sales Manager he was responsible for logistics and sales management over 4 states in the Central US. Entering the Ready-Mix Concrete industry for seven years gave him a different perspective of the heavy construction industry. William gained G.M. experience providing ready mixed concrete to state and local DOT’s and the knowledge of running a business from start to end. He then returned to the cement industry with Lehigh White Cement Co. in 2006 as Southeast Regional Manager based in Tampa, Florida. This position involved direct sales to National Accounts, terminal operations, Sales Administration management along with Logistics control. William is very involved with many industry related trade associations and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavers). With over 30 years in the industry, the combined experiences and driven style with strong sales and industry expertise, have led to his current position as Vice President handling strategic tasks involving new product innovation, growth and expansion projects along with managing the Sales and Administration for the US and Canada.
Heath Fincher
GCI Sales Representative
Heath Fincher, Sales Representative for GCI, joined our team with several years of experience in the materials sales sectors of the greater southeastern region of the United States. He specializes in the sale of construction-grade aggregates within the State of Florida and works diligently to ensure competitive pricing, to provide exceptional customer service, and to fulfill the needs of customers with top-quality products. Previously, Heath has held roles as a Sales Representative with SIKA Corporation and Martin Marietta. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution. His studies encompassed the sales, marketing, and management of material flow from manufacturers to end customers, creating the foundation for his experience and equipping him with essential skills for his role as Sales Representative for GCI.
Luis Padilla
GCI Terminal Manager
Luis Padilla is the Terminal Supervisor for our Tampa, Florida facility. He personally manages the daily operations of the site, overseeing the execution of loading and unloading of cargo ships, the transportation of cement, and the warehousing of cement product. Prior to joining the GCI team in 2021, Luis was a Director of Operations for Cantera La Rita and Director of Logistics for San Juan Cement, both in Puerto Rico. Luis has previously held professional certifications encompassing terminal operations and logistics.
